Orkidea's new artist album, coming out 5th March 08

Great news also on the production front. My second artist album is now 100% finished, mastered and even has artwork too! It will be released on Universal Music here in Finland and on Andy Moor�s AVA label in rest of the world. Really excited to have world�s largest record label and (in my opinion) the most cutting edge small indie label both working on this. Album contains 10 tracks and CD comes with unique code for downloading five more tracks and also whole album as DJ mix. There are some juicy collaborations, couple remixes of mine (same way as Taika album in 2003) and new 100% own material. Release date is set to 5th of March. More info coming up next week!

i have to admit ive only heard 2 & 4, but they boh rock.

any thoughts on this??

killa is a classic already. Brilliant remix. Shame he's not done 2cd only for 1 full of new & 1 of old including for example his remix of aalto - rush and beautiful w/ marc mitchell.

I'm looking forward to this, actually. There's a chance of having a decent trance album. I liked what I've heard so far.

my expectations aren't high as orkidea has been sucking lately IMO, but i'll be sure to check this out though. the first album was great IMO.

I'm glad Requiem finally gets released. I wonder what those 5 additional tracks will be..

Great news. I think Orkidea is one of the most consistent trance producers at the moment.

With this and Solarstones plus JOOFs Euphoria albums out this year, 2008 is looking great for Trance Fans

No it's not pushing it, instead let's hope each tracks actually is interesting during its entire duration of max 8 minutes. I don't know if you've noticed but a piece of music doesn't have to be 10 minutes long or more to be good.

No but when the producer makes a 9 minute track and then they hack the intro and outro, or remove a second breakdown to make it fit, it is ludicrous and stupid.

I thought I read somewhere that he was going a more "electroish" direction in his new album, which made me sad. I hope that's not true.
