I guess we should all submit to apple and its locked down system while steve jobs claims apple believes in 'choice'

The day I see support for divx, xvid, ogg, ums, and a user replaceable battery that doesnt void warranty, is the day i'll agree with jobs on 'choice'

its funny how apple thinks its doing the world a massive service by coming into a market with a first attempt product, calling it 'reinveinting' the phone and then saying they do things right. but when a company like meizu comes out with a 'knockoff' that does everything an iphone or ipod does and then some for less..........well........

how is it that 'nothing fake is pretty good' ??

For the record, I have all of that except a replaceable battery on my Touch, and none of it voids the warranty so long as you aren't a complete idiot.

i also think 70-80% of the people who bought them have no idea what any of that means, nor do i and dont think the battery is that big a deal..

the user interface with it is just so easy that anybody who would have never ever considered anything more than a standard no frills flip phone now jumped ship...

so in my opinion and apparently Jobs opinion he did reinvent the mobile phone..

i still dont want one but im facinated by the allure and whole iphone scene..
