I miss the cottage parties and house parties we used to have! PICS INSIDE

I was just looking through some pictures, from different parties. The party I had at my old house in 2005. At first it was just going to be a few friends over, with a friend spinning, chilling on my patio. Next thing I know it's 11 DJs spinning, a system outside, a system inside, during the day all day haha.

Then from that, Nadas amazing idea to have a cottage party at her familys cottage.

Then finally, after Nadas, the cottage party that Barry and Yohan set up in Perry Sound.

These things are not easy to setup. Getting the right place, room for everyone without noise complaints, and be able to actually get the place. These were amazing times. I miss them!

I hope one day we can get one set up again some how, but it is not easy, so for people who haven't done it, don't kid yourself lol. One day though I'm sure

I gotta wait until the second bathroom is done, and they put the hardwood floors in the basement. The bar is the perfect DJ booth, we already tested it haha. My new house is smaller than my old one, but the basement is setup perfectly

Some of my fave party weekends

It takes a lot of work to ramp up for hosting a TOTA event...not to mention double the cleanup afterwards... You might remember the Drewsomgbbq! (that lasted for 3 days for some reason lol)

I've offerred my cottage the last two summers but when time came there was little interest.

I think TOTA land is too large now to have a gathering at just one person's cottage.

I hate missing out on all of these. The 2 cottage parties I know I had conflicts with....but Dan, I remember you inviting me to your party, and I didn't go b/c I was afraid I wouldn't know anyone.

Well, your cottage doesn't have enough room to sleep a lot of people...

Though I suppose just an overnight party is possible...

Well...I agree there isn't that many beds...only 4 bedrooms but If I recall....most parties don't have too many people laying down for extended sleep

hmmm... planning session required...

I keep trying, but things didn't work out last year.
If there is enough interest, I can try to put together something at Scott's cottage. (maybe a little 24hr getaway within next 2 months)
