I did the same years ago on one of my monthly trips over... took back 3xcdj1000 mk2s in my carry on bags
Security at JFK LOVED that... gave each one the full swab down, and made me turn one of them on to see it working.
Anyway... try Taj Mahal on Canal St... take CASH, wave it under their noses, haggle like only an englishman can, and you should get a pretty good deal
Theyve been good to me on numerous occasions...
Oh- and make sure you haggle for a price INCLUDING tax... some dont seem to understand the concept of this, and they will allow you to haggle it down to a price, and then they will slap on the tax afterwards (which more than likely goes in their back pocket anyway on a cash deal)
Americans need to learn the art of haggling!

Yeah....mk2 and mk3 are dual voltage (no switch- its done internally) if you change the lead.
Or you can run each one through a 5 step transformer from maplin
If you really want to save money, look for a used pair on www.craigslist.org and arrange to meet someone when you get here.
Thanks very much for all your help guys! i really appreciate it!!
