psp question

how do i make parts of my image background transparent, ie. for gifs such as the simley in my sig holding the sign?

hmm, not exactly sure with psp

...but with other paint programs, u have to make the transparent areas a colour that isn't used elsewhere (otherwise they will become transparent too)

usually silly colours like lime green, hot pink, purple etc. anything that stands out and isn't too close to other colours used already

then you have to convert the image to palatted, so that there is a colour table...now when you save the image as a gif, you should be able to save as a tranparent gif, and select the colour from the table which will become the transparent colour

hmm. I hope your joking, photoshop is the greatest program. Look into getting 7.0, as it has some nice speed improvements.

not if u want to create your own images it isnt, rather than just whacking a load of filters/plugins over stuff...
