Kanye West / Daft Punk GRAMMY's (2008) wowo

Yea yeah I hate video threads too, but this post is about music first and foremost...

For those who missed one of the best grammy's performances of all time last night...

(watch BOTH clips, I need to find a version with both together)






Say what you want about Kanye being a total douchebag, he's a brilliant artist...

I thought Vince Gill's jab at him was funny, though I thought Usher's was fucking gay.

There was a great article in Sound on Sound about "Stronger" in December and how 13 mix engineers couldnt get it right before the 14th finally nailed it.

I'd say Kanye did the minority of the work on this track. Manny Marroquin deserves this grammy... not Kanye West.

He's such a psycho arrogant bastard, but he's also such a giant. I loved how he was dressed like a freak, I miss that about the Grammy's, artists being artists.

Yeah Kanye is definately one cocky SOB, when he came to Toronto with Jay Z for a party, he was trying to pick up my friend's friend and he acted as if every girl wants to screw him. The definately has good productions though very catchy, but I don't like the way he flows.

What the hell was that that Daft Punk used in the video? Some sort of Lemur?

OMG, that video of daft punk is amazing, the whole time i thought they werent going to appear cause the pyramid was sealed, and the glowing red suits, holy fuck that brings back such a good memory of the day they played here. what a good video, thank you for posting it Jon! definately saving this one.
