His essential mix is sick, I would compare him with D Ramirez if you havent heard him... he plays alot more techy tracks than one would think given his productions.

love fedde.......he plays a good mix of funky tech house and even tribal......can't remember which set it is but i swear at one point i thought it was calderone on the decks. id like to make it out for this but the way the weather has been so far this week it looks like ill be working a lot this week.

Boo! Thursday... what time is he coming on? I would absolutely love to see him, but I doubt there is any hope of catching his set and still being able to wake up for work at 6am the next morning

Great booking and venue but the date sucks..Midweek bookings are bullshit that deprive the majority of employed people the chance to see a lot of great Dj's...

The Dutch DJ/Producer Fedde le Grand (1977) has become an artist of world stature. His DJ sets and music productions contain energetic, danceable house music with an acoustic touch and electro influences. The Fedde-style has created a worldwide craze. His music is the club sound of today and the future. The house track Put your hands up for Detroit (2006) set off his definite international breakthrough. More successful productions, international gigs and awards followed in a tearing rush. Le Grand has already become the most requested DJ of the world and he scores hit after hit.

Enormous passion for music has always been in Feddes heart. As a teenager he used to spin his records here and there and after he finished secondary school, he started djing fulltime. Since 1998 he has already made an impressive portfolio for himself; performing at the greatest dance events and being booked in every credible club in The Netherlands. He is successfully expanding his horizon by organising parties and producing music. In March 2007 his first international tour started though Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and Miami, followed by a second tour through the United States and Canada, ending this tour in China in May 2007. During the summer of 2007, Fedde le Grand visited almost all European countries including Ibiza of course. During his second visit to Australia, Fedde was prominently present at five different festivals at the end of November 2007. In 2008 tours are planned in the United States, South-America and Asia as well.

The producer
Next to many national and international gigs, Fedde has been producing since 2001. The dream carrier of this self-made man has grown to unprecedentedly high proportions. He top scored with Detroit including a no. 1 position in the official UK Singles Chart and several other international hit charts. Eminems hip-hop crew has made a vocal version over the tune and artists throughout the world have found Fedde le Grand. Fedde has produced remixes for artists like Sharam, Freeform 5, Hardsoul, Kurd Maverick, Tall Paul, Pete Tong, Camille Jones, Ida Corr, Anita Kelsey and Robbie Williams. Not only Detroit hit the nail on the head; more cross-over tracks followed in 2007. The successor The Creeps (Camille Jones) and his follow-up remix of Ida Corrs funky Let me think about it, pulled off three international mega hits within only one year. No other Dutch DJ has accomplished such a unique performance.

In 2007 other European dance hits of Feddes productions were Take No Shhh, Just Trippin, Wheels in Motion (F to the F project, together with his partner Funkerman) and the track Mirror 07-07-07. Fedde created this track together with the Danish singer Ida Corr for the worldwide concert marathon Live Earth. Fedde has compiled and mixed three compilation albums: Sneakerz CD1 in cooperation with Gregor Salto (May 2006, Label: Sneakerz MUZIK), Top Of The Clubs volume 33 (2006, Label: Kontor Records) and the Ministry of Sound album Sessions (early 2007: Label: MoS). Fedde is currently working on his own artist album which will be released early 2008. This album will come up with several surprising collaborations!

And the winner is
Put your hands up for Detroit won the award no.1 summer anthem of Ibiza at the end of the summer in 2006. One year later, Fedde le Grand became winner in the category Breakthrough. At the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Fedde took home all three International Dance Music Awards: Best Breakthrough Solo Artist, Best Breaks/Electro Sound and Best Underground House Track. He won two Danish Deejay Awards and the Australian MTV award in 2007. The same year, Fedde appeared in the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 list and he was ranked 22nd. With this ranking Fedde won an award for Highest New Entry. This position has made him the third house DJ in his category within the Top 100 list.

Flamingo Recordings & Flamingo Nights
Fedde teamed up with Funkerman and Raf Jansen and they have started Flamingo Recordings since 2004. This unconventional record label has created an independent platform for artists where they can release their tracks without any compromises. This label has made them able to release tracks as fresh as they can be, appealing to a large group of people, without losing its underground identity. Taking no Shhh from any A&R, according to the lads themselves. In a short period of time, Flamingo Recordings has established itself in the international label scene with releases licensed to partners such as Defected, Ministry of Sound and CR2 Records.

Their own party concept Flamingo Nights launched successfully at the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2007. This party is characterized by a clear build up; a warming up by upcoming talent, followed by high-principled international live acts, to end with quality house music until the small hours of the night. All of this is accompanied by their own MC and creative VJ visuals. This party concept has international ambitions. In the future, Flamingo Nights editions will be held in Germany, The United States, The United Kingdom, France and Ibiza.

Nice

Anyone have the Fedde Essential Mix or others for DL? Also, I've heard a lot about Alex Pearce, so his sets would be appreciated, too.

This is gonna be my first party (technically) in NYC!!

I used to party in Toronto like it was my job! My senior year at UB I spent every weekend in TO. The scene up there is incredible. Peter Gatien said Toronto is what New York was 15 years ago. And with the music and DJs coming from there today, it's not hard to see why.

I'm hoping to break into the New York scene, starting with this party.

Put your hands up for Fedde!
