search out a portuguese steak on google. probably some good recipes out there. its a steak in a creamy sauce with some cured ham and onions. serve with some rustic roast potatoes. she'll love it

edit: if this is for v-day and you're trying to impress someone, match the food with a wine/beer and match it well

Duck is always nice and it shows you went the extra mile instead of getting chicken or steak.

Posted by Dervish on Feb-14-2008 17:44:

^ agreed.

Sear it some mango chutney (like for popadoms, nice and spicy one is good, with reasonably sized chunks) similar function to orange and sugar combo but wayyyy easier and better I'd say. Ptut ti in the oven, chuck in some veg, serve on noodles.

Is basically not far away from cooking chicken breast, but you're only using the fat to cook it in no oil (scored that fat and so on, guessing you know all this already).

im cooking for my gf this valentines:

tagalatelle with salmon in a creamy mushroom and bacon sauce served with brocolli and carrots (i'll probably douse them with the same sauce)

grind a little bit of spice on the tag and its a winner!

dinner and sex afterwards
