Review - Steve Porter at The Boom Boom Room

WOW - right from track 1 to the end steve went hard, really hard. Definetly his best gig yet at the BBR. Even with the short notice the club was packed. Steve's got a great rep here in Windsor. Should of recorded.

A+ show, def A+ weekend. Can't beleive we were able to pull off 3 shows in a week, all jammers.

Wow! I haven't had this much fun partying out to house music a while. Thought the night was going to be slow cuz until midnight, club was pretty empty, but by the time Steve went on the decks, the club was nicely packed, but without being crowded.

Such high energy, FUN filled Porter House set! I went for an hour workout on the dancefloor. People were staring at me like I'm a sketched out crackhead asian kid. lol. Not that i cared what they thought of me anyways. music is the ultimate drug!

Always interesting to see a professional DJ at work. Noticed Porter switched from Ableton DJing to back to using CDJs. Interesting how he does his transitions... I think he was using a lot of his own edits on tunes. Porter was very into his set, all smiles and being happy. Very approachable. Had a bit of chat with him and picking his brains was interesting.

anyways. he played Jaytech - Spacelift!!! One of my fav tunes from last year and so awesome to hear it at a club. Generally, it's not a thought provoking set, but just no care, giving it all out and have fun sort of set. party ended at 3, but wish he went a bit longer. Oh well. 3 hrs of Porter is good enough for me

Thanks again Remo for awesome weekend at Windsor. Can't beat free cover on guestlist before 11

Glad to hear it was a fun night. I couldn't make it out. Having to get up for work at 5:30 really put a damper in my going out mood.

ya, for me Steve is as close to a guaranteed good night out as they come...feel-good house with a healthy dose of breaks to boot last night was just what i was in the mood for after Scumfrog the night before..another awesome weekend at BBR, thanks Remo
