DJ Stores In Boston

Hey, so I'm going to boston for two days, and I was just wondering if you guys could tell me if you know where some DJ stores are. Also how easy is it to get around Boston w/o a car?

getting around boston and to get to other towns/cities (somerville, medford, cambridge, malden, etc) is easy enough with the subway. if you are just in the downtown area you don't even really need the subway, boston is small and you can easily walk around.

so you're basically saying Boston is half a city?

no i'm just saying it's not all that big or overwhelming. although driving would be a nightmare. in the 4 years i was there for school not once did i ever take the same route to/from the airport, god knows i have no idea how to get there by myself. also everything makes more sense as you are walking imo anyway

so does anyone know of any actual stores?

I don't there are any more record stores left to be honest with you. I closed mine in 2002 and then Boston Beat and Biscuit Head followed shortly there after and the only one that was left was Satellite, which I know closed sometime last year. So with the exception a Newbury Comics, which is a small chain and there are several in the Boston area, I think you might be out of luck.
Have fun, Beantown is a great little city.

Are you looking for a store to buy records or gear?

LAB on brighton ave in allston carries records, I actually do some ordering for them. The store itself sells clothes, art and Records - its an awesome place. If you go tell them that Mark Ingram sent you. Although we don't carry trance

youdoitelectronics - 15-20min by car out of downtown. they have mixers, turntables, cdj, speakers, headphones, lasers etc.....it is all on the second floor.

check www.youdoitelectronics.com for the exact address

there is no records, equipment only (dont pay attention to the website, it does not list anything, but they have a big selection)

Guitar center on brighton ave in allston, they carry everything from entry level to pro audio + they will match the price of any legtimate competition - Which means don't come in and say that you saw something on E-bay for the same price, it has to be from a real store.
