Droog are actually pretty well known up and comers in the US.

Well like, I don't even see the point of that post. Am I not supposed to say who I'm opening for? If we're only posting about DJs everyone knows, shouldn't pretty much all of us on here quit now?

Posted by Allied Nations on Feb-20-2008 03:48:

it was just a little joke because i find the name droog hilarious

many times

its not that i dont get the reference...

in any case pretty solid set - liked the first half a lot better than the second, but both were decent

Posted by Clovis on Feb-21-2008 01:10:

Thanks. Some of the transitions are a bit too drawn out and late because I was talking to people or getting a drink. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the music I played though Muela Pain didn't exactly fit...

this is handmade quality shit here

not exactly a detailed review, but yeah...i think your livesets have improved a hell of a lot over the past year or so in all aspects. really enjoyed this one, it's been on repeat the last few days w/ chad and myself

can't wait to hear the droog set that followed this up, based on past experience i can't imagine it'll be dissapointing in the least...rumor has it a funktion one will be in denver shortly so imo a clovis/bas/droog tag is in order

bout half way through, flow has been amazing.

track selection is ace

Posted by RJT on Feb-21-2008 22:30:

I really, really would like to spin a set with you some day man.

I enjoyed this one a ton, I really think that you have got the dark, atmospheric techy stuff down really, really well and for a live set this is quite sound (unlike any I've been able to recently record).

I absolutely love mixing "Darkslide" - that kick is just loads of fun, and I thought it came out beautifully in this mix.

Side note, I listened to this while showing an intro course in philosophy the Matrix today - very pleasant experience.

Would also enjoy spinning with you man, soon enough.

Yeah dropped Darkslide a bit suddenly...great tune though. I bought it the last week of December, and 2 days later heard Lazarus drop it @ Compression with Three...after hearing it on that system, I knew it was a bomb.com. Thanks for the comments. I think I've refined my sound and music selection pretty well the last 4-5 months. I've gotten much better at knowing what I like and what I should be playing . Thats cool you watched it while seeing Matrix...must have worked pretty good.

Just finished listening--this was a great opening set. I forgot it was recorded live a few times.

A couple highlights for me were probably (like RJT said) that end transition out of Takk Brett --just was really impressively drawn out and layered. Also, the first 6 tracks really were just spot-on programmed (very easy to lose track of what song I was on). Definitely the kind of thing I'd want to hear walking into the club.

Keep them coming, Clovis

Great mix . Thanks man.

Pretty good for a frenchman, I must say your sound has matured quite a bit in a good way. Still missing some Bas CeCe Peniston vocals mashed over some Schranz. Good stuff, recomended listening.
