Help from Tasmanian(s) please...

Are there any computer stores in Hobart with prices that are comparable to Melbourne? I've reasearched a couple of places and it seems like it would be cheaper to build the PC in Melb and hand deliver.

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks.

ask pkcraistlin
he put together a new pc a while ago

tasmanian principal computers, corner of murray and brisbane (?) next to harvey norman.

but yeah, its always cheaper to order and put it together yourself, no matter where you are.

oh, and tell them raistlin sent you. it'll mean jackshit to you but i like them knowing how much business i sent their way, so when i go in they look after me.

Thanks...

I can put it together no probs - in Melb. But the system is required in Hobart. I know you save on labour and stuff, but even the prices for individual components was overly inflated.

Just checked the Tasmanian PC site and it doesn't even list Intel processors.

When I lived in tas, we ordered all parts from mainland, because all the shops were complete rip-offs.

But, times have changed?

... seems not... At some stores, compared with MSY in Melb the price of CPU varied $80... how do they expect to move stock when you can ship from anywhere in the world and still come out on top?

well i never use their site i just go in. but they certainly do stock them. theyre the best pricing you'll get from any store in tassie. call them up and have a chat instead, but call early coz theyre always busy.
