I will have to give it a listen. I've got a slot on the radio show every week but so i'll be using mixes, other peep's tunes etc.
In addition to this they are looking for someone to host a show in conjunction with the BBC that will be broadcast nationwide.
Seems like a pretty good opportunity. I've got three hours a night, twice a week to fill with electronic music. So i'm still trying to figure whether or not to go with a A,B,C format or just go mad and play tune after tune, wee bit of chat etc etc.
First slot is monday. Choosing the first song is proving to be a nightmare.
Best advice I could give is to keep it varied - play a bit of it all, new tunes from places like the producers forum, mixes from DJ's you think are quality, your own sets - just keep it interesting, and try not to let it get into a routine. Lots of different styles and sounds.
I had a similar show at university (though obviously on a much smaller scale than the BBC
), and it was loads of fun - the only times it wasn't were when things felt like they were on auto-pilot.

Will there be any hardcore?
do you accept gabber?
see mix is in sig!
shiz to the nizz
i thought this thread was dedicated to the awsome song
It's official. i'm going to have a slot on the radio 8-10 on saturday nights. pretty happy about that.
I'll pop on more details later. one mix that i liked was Le Freak club machine one.
I'll probably play a mix from Az too.
it's an ongoing thing. i'm trying to listen to as much as possible. any more requests?

haha wooooo. i listened to it already. i was going to play it anyway, read the old post above yours.
i was going to ask first haha.
this going to be a regular thing? when i get my new PC up and running I'll do a minimix of my tunes if you're interested
please do man, every saturday night 8-10. which is a great slot for up here as everyones getting ready to go out.
i checked out the studio today, it's actually really quite impressive.
two 1210's, a 3 channel vestax, a big old mixing desk, a denon dual cd player, a mac with ableton. great microphones.
there's a seperate production room as well for making up jingles. i'm toying about with a few different jingles but i would appreciate anyone's original material.
