Bush Job Approval Ratings
2/19/08 ------- Approve ------- Disapprove ---- Undecided
Overall ------- 19% ----------- 77% ----------- 4%
Economy ------- 14% ----------- 79% ----------- 7%
http://americanresearchgroup.com/
40% of the United States self-identifies as Republican. Half of that group hates the head of their party.
I sometimes wonder what will happen to Musharraf if Bhutto's party comes to power.. I think they will kill him if he dosent flees..
I would be happy to see something similar happening to Bush after he is kicked out from his 'White House' house. Oooooo 'White' house!!!
Personally I'd be content with making him stand in the corner... but erm... yeah, you went a little far with that one.
Lowest approval rating ever, worst president ever.
It all fits together.

I think he has made quite a fair sum of money for himself and others close to him.

Maybe in next election someone more pathetic becomes the "President" of United States.. yes Mr. President..
Than people will say .. hey now this is the worst president of united states!

| Originally posted by Lebezniatnikov Haha, this is precisely the Bush team's position on the poll. Bush said (and I'm paraphrasing) that history will give the final verdict on his administration. And history can't do that yet, because it can only judge the past. And this is the present. We need to wait to the future to judge this administration. So who cares about the present in the present, when really we should be waiting until the present is the past so that future historians can judge it and tell us if what we do in the present was deemed correct by people in the future looking into the past. |

I luuuurrrve Bush, I also love pancakes
how can anyone be undecided after 8 years?
I mean who gives a shit?
Does it matter if we hate him or love him?
I am not to concern about the Pres but Congress that hasn't done shit except take long vacations.
I am truly worried about this country. Does it mean we should elect our next president based on his "likeness" or "personality" ?

| Originally posted by Lebezniatnikov It wasn't a popularity poll - the question was "do you approve of the President's job performance?" And the answer to your question is yes, we should elect a President we would approve of. |

| Originally posted by LatinLover Ok I guess all americans should chose a president over personality and not over competence. Also, please post the poll that questions " do you approve of congress job performance?" |

| Originally posted by Lebezniatnikov What are you talking about? Job approval has nothing to do with personality. Bush has consistently polled better in likeability than job approval - this poll questioned whether or not Americans believe Bush has done a good job as President - only 19% do believe so. And since you asked for them, here are the Feb. 1st Congressional approval ratings from the Washington Post: ABC News/Wash Post 01/30 - 02/01 33% Approve 59% Disapprove So yes, Congress is still considerably more competent than the White House in the eyes of the public. |
I mean liberals have nothing else to do than bring up this kind of BS everytime

| Congress Approval Rating I mean who gives a shit what people think if the president has done a good job or not? Do we care? is that going to change anything? does that mean bush is going to say " oh my im unpopular so ill just be like clinton and start making popular decisions" I mean liberals have nothing else to do than bring up this kind of BS everytime |

| Originally posted by Lebezniatnikov Excuse me? You asked for a poll, I went to the Washington Post's website and gave you their most recent one. Ok, now you're just babbling. You don't think the GOP brought up Clinton's fall in approval during the Lewinsky scandal? The point is, this President's policies are the most unpopular of all-time. The reason this is significant is that it bodes very badly for the GOP in 2008, and marks a significant disillusionment with this Administration in particular. Ummm... says the guy who just posts news articles from the AP newsfeed. This news is significant because it is five points below the lowest presidential approval rating of all-time. And I would argue that you did learn something - since you obviously did not know what an approval rating actually measures. |
Yes the GOP was responsible for that scandal. Karl Rove hired Monica to give Bill head and then sabotage how this scandal was going to be brought to the public
Furthermore, Latin, your insinuations about the relative unpopularity of Congress being blamed on Democrats is somewhat faulty. Take a look at SurveyUSA's approval rating rankings for all 100 Senators:
http://www.surveyusa.com/50State200...roval061122.htm
Regrettably their most recent aggregate numbers are from Nov. 2006, but you can see a clear trend - count how many Democrats and how many Republicans fall in the top 50 approval rating.
Eight of the top 10 most approved Senators in the US Senate are Democrats, and eight of the bottom 10 least approved Senators in the US Senate are Republicans.

WTF are you talking about. Bill Clinton was caught getting head from one of his assistance and you expect America to react to it positively? If you hold the highest office of your country and you use it to get head do you expect your approval ratings to go up? Yes the GOP was responsible for that scandal. Karl Rove hired Monica to give Bill head and then sabotage how this scandal was going to be brought to the public |

Im not going to say I post the best threads... but what you post imo is sh*t. i mean how many threads have there been of Bushs approval rating? thought so! |
