R.I.P. Head-Cans
My HDJ-1000s have passed on
I was listening to my iPod on the bus and one of the earcups actually just broke/fell off and now they do not work.
Had them about a little over a year, I cry.
Guess I'll pick up some Sony's.
TECHNICS

I mean, unless you want to buy headphones that sound awful and are prone to breaking again.

Man, I literally have heard of nothing but horror stories about those Pios. It's almost comical at this point.

i own 25s but bought the sonys for a friend. theyre both great.
Have you tried gluing it back on? Same thing happened to my Sony V700's about a year ago, I just used some Gorilla Glue and now they seem more sturdy then when I first got them.
i just got the HD280's.....i like something that fits around your ear...i hear the HD25's SIT on your ear. i have also heard that the HD25's sound amazing.
one thing about the hd280's....the isolation you get is ridiculous. i think out of any headphone, they're the best for that. they are however a little lacking in the bass department and the highs tend to get a little ear piercing at some points. i just really didn't feel like spending 200$ on a pair of headphones...
i'm still getting used to them...they do look/feel extremely solid however.
Get Technics RP-DH1200. After extensive use for 3 years they just started cracking.

Sorry man, Its a bad feeling watching $160 snap and become useless. Like RJT said...Sony 7506.
Ouch man! i am picking up my pair of HDJ-1000's tomorrow.... I have been using sonys for the longest time.. i had no problems with them... And i beat the shit out of them! i just wanted to switch up to something that might have a little better should than the sony MDR-V150's..
Yeah i just got my HDJ-1000's today.. i love them but i hope i don't run into trouble like you did... way too expensive
I don't understand the fascination with Sony V800s and Pioner HDJ1000s...
Do people not read the horror stories about those cans? I personally don't think the sound quality on those aren't as good.

Go with the Technics, the DH1200s...I am highly satisfied with my recent purchase of said cans. <3 removable cord. They're only $180 USD, whereas a comparable set of Sennheisers is probably more expensive(Though I cannot say for sure, I was able to buy my set for $100 USD
: so I didn't have to really research)
Glad to hear that I bought something that'll last me a few years
yeah i was so pissed when my cans broke on the plane! right in the beginning of a 7 hour flight too
Why do people still spend money on shit cans?
Sony 7506, end of discussion, just like always.
