Is producing EDM a geek thing?
Now I have seen rock stars and pop stars producing tracks. It involves a lot of banging guitars and hitting drums with real force.. they break microphones and guitars sometimes too!! Its physical force.. and sometimes looks cool..
But dont you think producing EDM music is percived as a geekky thing.. like the producer is immersed in his computer or midi player.. and click moouse all the time..
Its not something loveble to vedio document and broadcast on MTV.. its perhaps geeky? Haan?

What about the amount of studio work that goes into other genres of music? Granted, most musicians have other people doing the engineering, and that may be the key difference.
I have seen Yanni trying to pretend to be a 'rockstar' when he was playing two pianos at one time side by side... It was a good effort.. but looked lame IMHO..
so you would rather us look like monkeys banging on drums?
Oh do shut the fuck up, you troll.
Posting on TA is a geek thing, clicking moose all the time. You're uncool for doing it, so you should stop.
um... what?

The short answer is that yes, EDM is geeky in pretty much every way.

Wow.
Ya I'd put being a music producer right up there with being a dungeon master!
Also, saying stuff like "Trance is better than house" makes your weewee a LOT bigger, so keep at it man, one day your mom will start feeling it.
Long live TRANCE!! fuck house. [/QUOTE]
