18+ events during WMC?

Heading to WMC again this year and unfortunately like last year my boyfriend is not 21 yet (only 20). Anyone know what parties going on around town that the youngsters can get into :P Last year we didn't really plan too much out ahead of time and all we ended up getting into was Ultra and the official after party. Hoping to make a few more parties this year :P

It doesn't have to be good. Anything is better than nothing. Go to the big clubs and you'll blend right in. Just find a 21 year old that looks REMOTELY like your bf and bargain for his ID.

I had that problem since ive been attending WMC for a while before being 21. There are many all age events - the vibe is different since they arnt packed and not in the greatest venues or locations but hey what can you do. Most free events that say are 21 and over dont check. So beatport, hotel free events, etc. Also FYE has great artists doing in store gigs and meet and greets. Go through the WMC list. Anything that is free you can do. Also, if you show up to a party usually 2-3 hours before it ends and not many are at the event, they usually dont id if you look of age. Just pay and they let you in.

i dont know about what partys are 18+ but I am telling you do not try and use fakes at the major clubs in downtown.

I was in line at Space 3 years ago, kid about 6 people ahead of me had a fake. I watched 2 Miami cops drag him around the neck with a head lock out into the street like he had just stabed a bouncer. The kid tried to use a fake.

I would stick with the hotel events and small clubs in SoBeach.

most of bouncers do, as long as you have a girl (you) or you look kinda 21 and presentable.

i remember conference03 i was 20... got a real id of a kid from montana and it worked like a charm. i only mildly looked like the kid but it worked no problem.

just borrow an id from a friend. offer to pay if necessary.

Anything else?? Not really interested in the whole Fake ID thing.. we've obviously already thought about that. Looking for something he can legally get into :P Or at least where they just don't care.. We've found a few things tho.. almost enough to keep us busy. There's a Breaks party after Friday's Ultra across the street. And a DnB event on either Wed or Thurs I forget. And a couple of other things. Fucking sucks he doesn't turn 21 till September LOL. So many good 21+ events going on..

WMC list has a bunch. Most free events dont ID. FYE is great for all around free events with big names.

yeah unfortunately "the list" doesn't list age limits. So we've been going through the list and emailing or just researching each event and/or venue to see what we can find but that list is HUGE so it's very tedious :P Really wish it just listed age limits on it.. we had the same problem last year..

Seeing as how I'm 20 and the girl thats coming with me is 20, we have the same issue. Since I have a ton of downtime at work I went on wantickets.com and clicked on the WMC event link. Then I clicked on ALL the party ticket links for Friday and Saturday (since I'm only coming for Ultra) and the only parties I found were The Future Sound of Breaks at Area 51 on Friday and Contagious Musiq Showcase/Festival Afterparty on Saturday, also at Area 51. So yeah, just thought I would share that info with ya. You can click here for the event listings/tickets for the entire week of WMC. Have fun searching

I was gonna post that same info. you beat me to it.

If you like D&B/ Electro Breaks or any type of Breaks this will be the event to attend.

I haven't had really any exposure to D&B or that type of music, but seeing as how I know I will just want to keep dancing after Ultra, I don't really care looks like this is where I will somewhat reluctantly be going but wishing I was at about 5 other parties But I know the girl I'm going with likes D&B so I'm sure she'll get me hyped into it

Cool yeah I knew about Area 51 parties and we've been going through the list and wanttickets. Also emailing people. I'll post a list of what all we've found. We've found probably 5 or 6 events

Lucky for you, the Gareth Emery party (click HERE to check out the event) is 18+ if I'm correct.

Yeah I meant the parties at Area 51, just didn't feel like typing everything out lol I'm lazy. Yeah too bad I'm not gona be there on Wed, otherwise I would go to the Gareth Emery party
