hey ok heres my problem i do a really good transistion then im like ok cool and go back to do it again and i totally fuck it up again argh i dont understand could it be my turntables (1200's) arnt holding the pitch? because 5 mins ago whent he tune was beatmatched perfectly and transitioned sounds nothing like it when i goto do it again even in the exact same spot without touching the pitches since the las tperfect one the beats are out of time? do you recjkon i should get my pitch on table b checked because i think its a bit slower than the other one even so... i could beatmatch it before...?
or am i making excuses for my severe lack of skill? could it be im not dropping in tune b at the correct time? and thats why there out of sync? when your cueing is it tricky to release it exactly on the beat? i seem to get it osmetimes not others :/ anyway thanx for any help

I find it simple to let the b track go perfectly on cue.
Just push forward an pull back so that you heard the first beat of track b go 'doof'. Now do it so that the 'doof' is in sync with the beats of track a. Your cue point is generally indicated by some kind of short buld-up, usally a hi-hat. Release track b so that that first 'doof' co-incides with the first beat of the new bar of track a.
Get the beats on perfectly with nudges and touches.

Well, thats what I basically do and it works everytime.
Mebbe ur pitch is a bit wonky.

I wouldn't bother checking the pitch on your 1200's, it's not that. 1200's hold their pitch better than any other turntable.

I expect what it is, is that the first time you did the mix, you actually corrected it quite a lot while you were in the mix, and so it was never actually *exactly* on beat, and after the succesful mix you just assumed that it was perfectly matched when it in fact wasn't.

I'm afraid the only answer is more practice
