out of phase correction

I have a problem with a sound i'm working with, I'm tweaked it to fit the mix but now I noticed that the particular sound is out of phase.
I tried using a stereo imager to correct it but still no luck.
can anyone advise how I go about correccting this very strange problem ?

like i said in the other thread, i'm demoing PSP's StereoPack right now and its nice, i do believe their PSP StereoController will do what you want...

PSP StereoController contains a set of sliders and controls for operating the plug-in, as well as correlation and channel balance meters.

Applications: correcting stereo errors while mastering and re-mastering stereo tracks, changing the stability of the the left and right channels without changing the mean signal, adjusting the positioning of the centre signals without changing the spatial balance, reversing phases and swapping of channels.

Features: independent control of the differential signal content, traditional channel balance control, correlation and channel balance meters. This processor does not distort the tonal balance nor alter mono compatibility.

I'll head over to their site to download the demo of the plug-in to see if it sorts out my problem. From the feature you gave, it seems like a hot plug-in.

AnalogX did a directx plugin that would invert a track's phase and solve your problem...dunno if there's a vst version though.

i use a combination of Waves PAZ analyzer and S1 imager to keep things in phase.
