According to their myspace, theyre both schedualed to play @ Celebz on April 4th which is absolutely frigin AMAZING!!!

I stopped by last night, 45 bucks at the door is EXPENSIVE. Being a newcomer to the Vancouver area, Ive noticed this up in this area is WAY more expensive than in the states.

Example:

Steve and Sebastian are 40 bucks at the door at celebs in Van. In La, Same show, 25 max

I also heard Canadians pay TONS of cash for car insurance. I pay 800 bucks for the year for full coverage on a 07 civic si. I hear people are paying up to 2k for car insurance for a similar car? Is this true?

Anyhow, was it even worth 40 bucks? I couldn't bring myself to pay 40 bucks for me and my girl for some decent dj's

Yes, car insurance is isnane in this province. ICBC also makes a lot of profit... ah well. That's what happens when you have a monopoly.

But yeah, the tickets at the door can be expensive. If you can, purchasing tickets in advance will save you money. Sometimes, if you buy early enough you'll save like $20 off the at-the-door price.

If it's a big name, and I'd say Angello and Ingrosso are a decently big act, tickets are more. But if you cruise down to a normal Stereotype Friday event, expect to pay $10-15. Not bad for what are normally pretty good DJs.

Oh well, Vancouver nightlife is centered around the Granville St. area and the Top40 clubs. This is what sells, and so the promoters are forced to charge what they can. If you pick your shows carefully, you don't need to spend a fortune to go out in this town. If you just want good music, checking out some of the nights at the other clubs around town like Lotus etc. can be a good way of not breaking the bank and experiencing some local talent.
