Unhappy How do you fix cracks & pops?

Is there anyway to fix loud cracks and pops on a relatively new vynil?
I know they become more prominent with age, but my choons are newish, and didn't have the pops when I got them....

Help!

Maybe your needle has some dust on it which causes it to make noises
get yourself a cleaning kit and if it continues
return the records...

All you can do is brush the stylus like Scorchio said, and make sure the record is as clean as it can be. Get a carbon and velvet cleaning brush for your records, and also some anti-static spray if possible.

Apart from that, there's really nothing you can do. Clicks and pops are all part of spinning vinyl, and you'll have to learn to live with it.

I personally like the cracks and pops that vinyl makes, provided it's not bad...it gives vinyl it's own charactristic

Thats the problem, the pops are VERY noticable, and my tracks never did that before (I've had em for about 3 months).
So you guys reckon I should just clean thoroughly then? Kewl

I thought I might have to pay someone to repair my vynil (my friend who used to do it for me lives in SA).

Thanks

Vinyl will eventually getr it's share of pops and clicks ..but one way to help prevent getting them in the first place is to NOT SCRATCH. Sorry....couldn't resist.....It's a personal thing....I hate scratching...I think it's lame and WAY, WAY overdone. Not to mention that it will tear your records up faster than anything.
