The Khvaleyev brothers are two of the hardest working producers in the Russian electronic music scene. With music released consistently on a monthly (sometimes weekly) basis since 2005, Moonbeam has slowly but surely crept towards prominence-- culminating in an explosion of attention in 2007 with relases on Traum, EQ Grey, Song Bird, Proton Music, and their own music labels Moonbeam Digital and Disoma.

Their new outting is the 2nd part of their earlier Proton Music EP, Samurai. Predator picks up where Samurai left off with a dub mix of Sky and a vocal mix of Insight. All new this go around is the A-Side Predator single, a rough and tumble techno electro house track.

Be sure to catch Moonbeam's monthly show on Proton Radio, now at a new date & time!

Sky is my choice, Insight has it's parts. Really disappointed when I heard Predator though. Didn't think they'd get into that farty "electro house" bass line fad.

Moonbeam are my fucking niggas, god damn. Loving their recent stuff (as well as old). Spring Story EP is immense, their edit on "Chase My Rabbit" is epic, and the remix of Ode Ao Sol is win.

Lot of their stuff I can picture Diggers dropping.

I'm a huge fan of their productions, but recently I haven't been liking what they've been coming out with...Spring Story EP was weak...

This one is okay, I only like the Insight Vocal Mix....Sky was already previously released on another EP by them, and I don't see much of a difference between the vocal and dub mix. Predator I wasn't diggin' either.

Angels & Men, I Love Mornings & What Dreams May Come, Just Try To Remember is ace work by these guys.

I like Moonbeam, but i don't like this. To me it seems most of the stuff that they do that makes it to 12" seems really well thought out and works. Their Digital only releases tend to disapoint me (not always but the vast majority of the time). Possibly a rush to put things out? I hope their next release is a little more inspiring, because i will most def not play this.
