edit: but it really depends on how much information you give before and after about the test/participants/etc.

APA is just a reference/documentation format... doesn't matter how the sentence is structured, you can place the reference at the end of the sentence.

if you were using direct reference - ex.

Let's say some author, in 2004, writes "Ania_xox could possibly have the world's smoothest vagina."

then you could either say.

Some Author (2004) says that Ania_xox could possibly have the world's smoothest vagina.

or

It is possible that Ania_xox might have the smoothest vagina in the world. (Some Author 2004)

... or maybe i don't get what you want.
