Read This! Vancouver: who are your local producers?

Let's take some focus off our DJ's for a while and find out who are our
producers that subdue themselves to the joy and pain of production.
I'm curious what setup you guys use and if you have any finished and
mastered product we can hear. Or even if it's undone and you just mess
around (like me).

Shiloh.

Jimmy Vallance, Digital Over

Danny Taylor, Bryan McKinlay

Shy Brothers

There's quite a few more actually, but their names don't spring to mind off hand. Some are with local label Black Tiger Records. Most are of the house/electro/dnb/breaks/speed garage variety. Shiloh is well established. Jimmy and Tristan are building a name for themselves slowly but surely. Danny tinkers. Bryan is a little more than Danny at this point but not quite satisfied with his skills. Shy Brothers have a few releases, I won't comment on their releases aside from the fact they are not of my taste.

I play around and have a track that's nearly finished. When I get the first drop fixed I'll upload for a trance addict premiere haha...but I certainly don't take myself too seriously

A few more guys I know that nibble in this are Shon from Kelowna,
AQVAYAK!, and Myles Power - who's actually VERY promising.

Personally like the coyote up top I like to mess around
but can never seem to complete a full track. It's not easy mates ..

Anything I ever heard from Shy Bros. was awful, however in their defense
I'm not a fan of their genre at all. I wouldn't mind hearing something
of Danny's if anyone has it. Haven't heard a thing from Tristan either.

AQVAYAK made one track called "the telephone", which blows my mind as
it's just a series of beeps and ring tones .. haha. Sean you should post it! lol.

I also heard a Kevin Shiu track once, it was collab with someone else
but not really impressive either.

All in all, good music or not - props to anyone acctually trying to
make it as it ain't no easy task and definitely time consuming.

LOL @ DJ Kraig. That would be a negative there.

You need a little thing called time to be able to produce anything of quality. Working full time + the shows we have on the + a girlfriend = no time. LOL.
