Vandit are on Beatport now

Fighting over Vandits recent material aside, a lot of their older stuff was quite good.

Havent had a good look though the list yet but theres a lot of stuff. Not all of Pauls own material funny enough, but theres a good lot there.

Still at premium prices but that'll drop in time.

Had the same problem with Mr Sam remix of Water Planet

I like how they tag their mp3s, but I hate the territory restrictions, the pricing and the flash website.

I'd buy off audiojelly and others more if they got their tags sorted, and had some sort of album art on there, too.

..and if AUdiojelly stocked .wav files.

What's up with you and wav files?

I dont like paying for compressed music, and music that has had parts of it cut out just to save on bandwidth bills.

But those are the parts only your dog can hear, if there is anything there to begin with.

Even in Goldwave, you can clearly see what the Mp3 compression cuts off.

I know theres a big debate about it that'll never be solved, but what is removed is additional harmonics that may subtley change the lower harmonic perception that you can hear. I think .wav files do sound a little fuller than mp3s. I could be wrong though.

In any case, I dont like paying for something that effectively isnt a full product, which is what .wav is. I'm happy with livesets in mp3, but music I buy now has to be .wav.

Just a heads up that the standard 4-week-exclusive-etc Beatport thing is over and the prices for most Vandit stuff are down from 2.49 to 1.99. Unlikely they'll drop further.

They will or should eventually to $1.49.

If you have accurate equipment then you will be able to notice the change. For example, I notice significant changes when I am using my Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones and I switch between a 320 mp3 and a wav.

If you download .wav's to play live, no one will EVER notice a difference.
