Worst. Parents. Ever.

c0r version: Parents put clothes inside an Xbox 360 box, wrap it, give it to their kid for Christmas, then ridicule him when he's upset over the "joke."

I just don't understand what would compel people to do that to such a young kid on Christmas of all days - maybe he's a really, really bad kid, I don't know, but this just seems uncalled for.

Oh ya and the people at dig.com saw this and are sending him a new xbox360... so that is kinda nice.

"can't afford an x-box 360"

then why the fuck would you put it into an 360 box you daft ****. that was terrible.

I can't find the funny.

Thank God one of my friends had the opposite happen to him in 2007. He got nothing but socks and stuff, then BAM 360 out of nowhere.

So funny

"What did you think it was? We can't afford an Xbox!" LOL

I honestly think that people just post "repost" in any thread that comes up these days regardless of whether or not it has been posted before.

So now we're calling "repost" on things from other forums?

Fuck, people have gotten more bored than I thought possible.

This is the thing that deeply-seeded trust issues are made of.

Worst parents though? I dunno, was that serious? Kind of a dick move, but there are far worse things you can put your children through as far as emotional distress goes.

Yeah, I mean, maybe the real lesson here is not to put value in material things. Smart parents, imo.

I think they just might be assholes.

You need to think outside the envelope.

Yeah, that was my first reaction. Like, bew-hew, the kid didn't get a fucking video game system for Christmas, all he got was something he could use to keep him warm. Sad fucking world for him?

But I don't think the parents were looking to teach a lesson, just make fun of him. And everyone crowding around to laugh at you on Christmas does sound pretty shitty. I just hope he learns to take all his anger out on Jesus from now on, after all - Christmas is pretty much all His fault.

Really, if you live in a first-world country, you're going to value material things. Unless you've been conditioned all your life not to. Especially if you're a little kid.
