Weird computer problem

I was in the middle of something today and all of a sudden all the fonts within all my programs (firefox, winamp etc), changed to italics.

Everything on XP itself is fine, all my folders and icons are in normal font.

How do I fix this? It's weird, just happened out of no where.

Is this like that bug that reverses your right and left click mouse buttons occasionally then just changes back whenever it feels like it?

They recommended redoing the fonts. Ive gotten used to the italics so I havent bothered trying yet. You do it and tell me if it works

A more recent reply on that forum has suggested resetting your desktop theme back to the standard Windows XP theme and see if that helps. Otherwise a system restore back to before it started happening.

Sounds like a font may have been accidentally deleted. Have a read of 'approach 2' at the following link:

The very bottom post worked for me; reinstalling the system fonts.

Thankfully it wasn't a hassle; could have been far worse.

I'v been reading this happening to different people on different forums. Maybe some new virus going around.
