[REVIEW] Vanguard w/ Christopher Lawrence & J00F
I just got back from Vanguard, and wow, I was AMAZED tonight! The guest list line was a breeze when we got there (10pm-ish), so that was the first good sign. We got inside with no problems either so we went right into our party mode.
When 12am rolled around and Christopher Lawrence is on, we went to the middle front dance area where it was PACKED. It was worth it though when CL finally dropped his banging beats, and the energy in the air just increased tenfold! I swear I think CL is much better now than in his previous days. His music is so driving that it can't stop you from dancing.
2AM rolls around and J00f gets up there. The crowd goes crazy as he drops his intense beats...I think it was even harder than CL! I think this is one of the best nights at Vanguard in a LOOOOONG time for me. Not just because of CL and J00F, but I had friends that rarely come out with me.
Also, thanks to Blowzo for getting me a comp! THANK YOU!!!

it was my first time at vanguard (not i mean i am 21 hehe)
it was nice meeting everyone that i met, i remember the names of the people: i met rukes, greg, michelle, and sarah (for a second time) and i say don and psireaver. i'm terrible with names so for whoever i forgot.. sorry!
btw im too drunk to be posting but you can thank don for that :P
Crazy night, one of the rare nights where just about everyone at the club stayed until the end!

yeah was an amazing night. I can't remember all the TA's I met but the list had to have been like 20 or 30 people long. New TA's kept coming up and saying hi and asking where the other TA's where and it wasn't simply pointing a little group of people out I had to be like well pretty much the entire front of the stage is TA's at many points in the night. Short list of TA's met, Indamix, mecca82, sweetcandy girl, gpc, gypsy girl, electrophile, skizzel, the one with the mouth thing, and about 20 more that I just can't remember because i'm horrible with names.
CL was very good when he came on he really brought the intensity up a notch and was playing some pretty driving stuff. He looked like he was having a great time which always helps make the night better. He had a few rough transitions but overall it was a great set.
J00F man oh man oh man. I just kept looking at other TA's and smiling and shaking my head as J00F ripped the place apart track by track. It didn't stop, from beauty never fades, to the infected mushroom remix as the closing track he was completely on par and playing beautifully. I couldn't stop dancing even though at that point i was really starting to get tired. If anyone can ID that piano sounding track that was probably 2 or 3 songs after beauty never fades you'll get a huge ecookie. That was one of the most beautiful tracks i've ever heard and I need to add it to my collection.
Overall has to be one of the best nights out in a long time as I got to see lots of fellow TA's heard amazing music, the sound system was banging and it wasn't nearly as crowded as it could have been. club entrance was easy. There was even a pretty short wait at the bar to get drinks. All in all a truly unforgettable night that has me asking when J00F is going to play vanguard again.
EDIT: In Addition if anyone recorded the set or knows anyone who did I really really really want a copy of J00F's set.
High point: J00F dropping OFortuna Wizzy Mix. Never expect to hear this track at a club like Vanguard in a million years!!! Awesome!!!
Low point: wtf is wrong with security harrassing and pushing people all over?!! When did Vanguard security start loosing their cool and turned into such ***-*****?
best clubbing night ever in my life! totally dream come true!!! the way TRANCE should be delivered!!!!
nice combo of djs, enjoy both of them very much as they are top 2 on my list!
what is j00f opening song??? holy SHIT!!! 
all in all i enjoy it very much around LA TA atmosphere, you guys are a great group of happy music lover kids!!! thanks for the awesome hospitality by those i just met last night...

Psiweaver... remember when i tap you on ur back as every tracks during j00f set get played??? yes... just wanna check with you if im the only one thinking that all the tracks were sick!!!!

Last night was simply put, Awesome!!
Major ownage.
And it was great seeing TA's dominate a good portion of the front, good times.

WOW OH WOW OH WOW is all i have to say. Ever since I heard my 2 favorite trance dj's were playing together I was a happy little boy lol. This nite was much more than epic imo. Miguel(Bamaca) gave everyone a nice little progressive house warm-up, which was different. Then my main man cl came on and brought the whole place up a level. Only complaint I have with him is i know he has tons of bangers in his collection, but last few times i've seen him he's still playing the same stuff. He had a great set overall. Now on to joof, HOLY FUCK. lol. That guy has amazing talent, which i dont think anyone here will definetly disagree on. He had the place banging all nite. From start to finish. This was one of my most memorable nights at the vanguard, especially hanging out and meeting all of you wonderful Ta's. I really wish it wasn't so crowded, but hey its LA what are you going to do? Nice seeing gypsygirl,sweetcandygirl,gpc,psiweaver,electrophile,jonmitz,joshallen,indamix99,skizell,etc etc.
oh god so tired from last nite, so very worth it.

I live and party in LA but went down to Sand Diego to On Broadway to see this show and OMG it was amazing. Less crowded room to dance and GREAT vibe.. i highly recommend it hope the show in LA was as good as SD!!!!
JOOF straight up killed it. Prob the best 4 hours of trance i think i have ever heard. Everybody was there until they turn the lights on at 4am.

Holy crap that was an awesome night! I've been so tired today but it was well worth it. But damn, I've been thinking about the music all day today. Anyone else wish they could turn back time to re-live this?
TA's, it was great meeting many of you. I can't believe how many of us were there! Psiweaver, thanks for the wristband!
CL + J00F + the Funktion One sound system = total auditory bliss! I've been to Vanguard about 6 times, but those guys seriously brought the best out in that sound system. CL did an awesome job like always and had me going nuts once he dropped Platinum. J00F.... OMG did he tear that place apart! I wasn't familiar with any of his tracks except O' Fortuna, so it was great to hear a bunch of new stuff. The crowd had a great vibe last night too and I was surprised to see how many people were still there at 3:45 when I went to close out my tab.
It was cool we were able to take a group shot with CL & J00F at the end of the night. What sucked was me though was waiting outside afterwards for 30 mins waiting for valet to bring my car since I was one of the last few out of that place.
Can't wait for another night like this again. Come back soon!! 
You'd never guess it from reading the reviews here, but last night at Vanguard was nothing short of phenomenal! 
Was also a great way to celebrate my birthday which was the day before (2/29), for the first time in four years!
Every DJ up there laid down such a great set, and JOOF closing the night was perfect...he just killed it! The dance floor was crowded, but not "PVD crowded," was easy to move around and get back front center without much problem. Everyone was nice for the most part and I haven't seen so many TA's in one place since Trance Energy in Utrecht last weekend! 
Was glad to see Michelle back in business with her new camera, so many TA's were back stage with CL And JOOF, missed Riia (feel better soon!), and oh yeah, happy 21st Jon!
