benny bennassi vanguard march 14th...is SF>LA?

OK im sure all you vanguard promoters will read it, so prove me right or prove me wrong. Who has a comp guest list at vanguard... Anyone...anyone? I saw benny at ruby skye in SF...and why i think SF>LA, I was able to get on a comp list. also from what ive heard Vanguard is full of douchebags trying to harrass females. I know its San Francisco, so there are less dudes interested in females, but if guys act this way, females will definitely not feel like going to these clubs unless they go with guys(less ladies for quality guys like me) Saw Fedde le grand at on broadway SD 2 weeks ago(again on a comp list) and menno de jong last week at 1015 in SF also for free...

SO whats it going to cost me to get in Vanguard promoters?

Get on the discount list? I don't think any of us are going to put a stranger on a comp list, haha.

which proves my point... i was going to see dj dan at ruby skye and a female who was djing that night saw my thread and offered on their comp list to go see Menno De Jong at 1015 instead(plus vip wristbands) Ovbiously this person(Lyndsay who is BAD ASS by the way) was more about me experiencing a future #1 DJ than about making a buck...besides you take care of me, i take care of you. seems like everyone in SF is all about having fun, while its all about the quick buck in la...maybe some of the douchebags ive seen at vanguard are some of the promoters!

A DJ's comp list and promoter's comp lists are completely different things.

Just because you're on a comp list one time does not entitle you to get comped everywhere you go each time you go out. Coming on TA and putting down a city's scene, club's patrons, and douchebag promoters is probably not the best way to get on future lists. But whatever, I'm sure you can just let your good friend Benny Benassi know you're coming and all will be good.

bragging in a forum about how you amazingly get comped at every other club will not get you comped everywhere... it just proves youre a douchebag.

I get comped all the time in LA...for some reason, "people enjoy having me around" is the excuse I get when I ask them why they comp me.

Hey that's NOT true of LA! I've got a COMP list too but it's not for Vanguard. I'm sure Blowzo would comp you if you weren't bragging about getting comp'd every where.

no i asked him about fedde $10, but i wound up going to sd that weekend and seeing kaskade at stingaree and flg and dave aude at on broadway. i never bragged about anything, and if youre ever in sb let me know. since when was helping others a bad thing?

I'd say never!

You're best bet is to be yourself and not trying to befriend the promoters just to get freebies. They can smell that a mile away. If you 're a straight up decent person and add to the enjoyment of others by being there somehow, that goes a long way.

Also, it really helps to buy the comp giver a drink or two, even if that often times means spending more than you would have for a discount. Or not being stingy with your coke.

That's what gives the biggest impact, when it is offered without the asking or expectation...

I do not understand how you guys can do coke for an EDM set. You have to be doing more every twenty minutes to half an hour else you crash throughout the whole set, and at that rate your a twacked out ****** who's not going to be smiling when they get home and want to sleep.

Practice. Plus, not always there for the music. Lotsa times just to have good music in background and hanging with cool people.

Also, sometimes I just bring a little for said friends and promoters cause they need to be awake all night handing out flyers and can't be rolling or inside with the music so it perfect for them.
