Thumbs down ****ing Police....

I need to vent, i can't afford a psychiatrist lol, and I 'm not going to talk to my co-workers...but fuck me, the biggest liars, manipulators and cowards...and the worst part is they aren't even good at it.

This is not my particular case, but i mean come and talk insane amounts of shit, provoke you and then get physical knowing because of their fucking little sliver name tag, that if you retaliate....you lose.

A grade 12 english is all you need, a few months at cop college and then your upgraded to a bully.

Officer of the Peace?? very few that I've met even as a fly on the wall.

IMO it's Love/Hate with these people.

The language, the actions, the disrespect they use even with dealing with something so much as a traffic stop or as a witness is ridiculous.

Feel free to vent with me, as I can guarantee we've all been there or someone you've known has been there.

Yeah, some cops are assholes but there are nice ones too...

My dad got pulled over not too long ago and the cop was very rude and treated my dad like crap. My dad spoke back to the cop and the cop got so frustrated that he took the tickets with the license and threw it on my dad's lap into the car. This cop was about at least 20-25 years younger than my dad. My dad's final reply to him was "Shame on you"... He then went to make a complaint.

or one other time when I got pulled over for disobeying a no left turn sign which I didn't see but it is my fauly none-the-less. Anyways, the first thing the cop says to me after getting my license "Are you Turkish" like wtf? So I replied and said "Yes I am but that's none of your business" He got mad and tried to stick me with other tickets but I was able have all of them dropped and not have to pay a cent

Some people just don't get it. "Don't poke the bear".

Be strong, stand up for yourself, be informed, but don't be a dick. It's a simple as that. Ask questions, but be respective.

I have dealt with cops in countless situations, but I have had mostly 'pleasant' experiences. The situations have ranged from public disturbances, drugs, trespassing, weapons (I didn't actually have any)....

i've had a couple of unpleasant experiences with cops but at the end of the day they are the ones protecting us from the real scum of the earth. yes, even traffic cops lol. long story. but seriously... i would never be a cop. i have no interest plus i don't possess that assertive "bully" type mentality to do it. why are the requirements for becoming a cop so low? do you really think someone who just graduated with a bachelors degree is going to wanna be a cop?

Haha. My friend just finished his bachelors in mechanical engineering, didn't want that type of job, and is now a RCMP officer.

Confused

Some of the most competent people I know and have worked with are cops

Like any other humans, you meet good and bad people. Cops included.

Posted by chinamon on Mar-05-2008 18:19:

ive had quite a few run-ins with police. they were all pleasant experiences where they were polite. there was one occasion, however, where the plain clothed york regional police officer was flashing his badge quickly with his hand so i couldnt read the badge number. he was ready to pull his gun on me and pull me out of my car to kick my ass if his partner wasnt there. fucking powertripping idiot.

Posted by me@t k@tie on Mar-05-2008 18:19:

I have spent quite a bit of time hanging out with police and detectives. They are not these big assholes that you think they are, haha. The ones that I know are cool and fun. They have very stressful jobs and have to deal with a lot of stupid fucks who talk back to them and try to deny that they just did something illegal. Get over it. There are rules. Follow them. Believe it or not, police protect us.

From what I was told, if you give a cop attitude, he is going to make you wish you hadn't.

unfortunately its worse when its a cop because they use their power against you.

Posted by magikb on Mar-05-2008 18:20:

Years ago I wanted to be a cop, so not the job for me though. I was young and foolish then.

I have had run-ins with good cops and asshole cops. I guess you just gotta cross your fingers and hope you either don't run into any cops at all or that you get the nice ones. From my experiences though, most of them are nice to you if you don't have a chip on your shoulder with getting pulled over to begin with. I have been let off of 3 speeding tickets on the spot from extremely nice officers, I have also been give 3 of which were all deserved, but even then only one was a true asshole to me. (he was the one that handed me my largest speeding ticket)

There's a demand for police officers right now, hence the low standards.

I've dealt with a few police officers, most of them are nice and respectable, but there are a couple who I wished bad things upon them.

My friend is a security guard at a mall and he tells me how sometimes the police officers takes offender to a place with no camera and beat them if they were mouthing off the the cop earlier. It's pretty messed how they can get away with a lot of stuff, but yeah when it comes to more serious crimes they're the one protecting us.

I agree. I know the game and how to play it. For me personally taking that kind of abuse from someone just for not even a good outcome, but the best one possible, is like already being in prison. The after effect for me personally is a great deal of shame, resentment, its like a raping to my dignity and morale. This is all my opinion and how it affects me.

Posted by slingshot on Mar-05-2008 18:24:

Out of all of my friends from high school....the ones who were the last people you would ever want to become a cop (based on their behaviour, attitude, things they've done etc etc) are the ones who have all become or are becoming cops....it's sad, really.

I was sober, handcuffed, taken underground, beaten, called a wop, a ******, my gf was a whore and they would deport her. And so on, funny thing was when i agrued after they were naming all these of offences I had pending prior to being Rodney King'd, then form 2 officers appeared 2 more cruisers and a SUV.

I tried telling them i've never been charged or arrested but they were the toughest and smartest guys in the world..of course. The story goes that in the morning i was released with no charges and a half assed attempt at an apology. Why? i have a relative my age, born one day after me, with a wrap sheet as long as younge street, who has no id and uses my name..the difference is that if they were to check mugshots or abp they would maybe have noted the difference in eye color, or maybe the tattoo's on him including on his neck.

I had footage of the incident before being arrested and a top criminal lawyer as a resource, but declined, because of being marked and harrassed in the small city i lve in for a very very long time.

BTW...time has passed and my thead is not based onthis event...lol

edit: I actually had a notarized letter stating my actual identity and the conflict that has taken place, of which i paid for with no help from the police dept.

sounds to me that you should pissed at your piece of shit relative for using your name and getting you involved in a situation like that.

Posted by Rook on Mar-05-2008 18:46:

LOL @ cops.. if it makes anyone feel any better i have a good story about a friend who was wanted for some domestic disturbance.

So cops came to his house looking for him but he wasnt home, thats because he was up the street walking (cuz he was drunk) towards his house. a cop sees him, chases him, tackles him to the ground face first, cop rolled him over and was sort of standing over him leaving his jewels exposed.. i guess my friend thought he would never have this oppourtunity ever again in his life so he fukin sacked the cop dead on, so much so the cop fell straight to the ground like he had been shot and started moaning allowing my buddy to walk home. evntually more cops came to arest him but he hid underneath a neighbours car and they never found him.

true story

i would imagine all the cops had a good laugh at mr. blue balls when it was all said and done. cuz i dont know how he never got arrested and charged.

Well I have been for years, he's a parasite, sounds cruel but to do this to your own blood amongst other things...i have no remorse for my feelings towards him

Because after reading your rant, I feel that arguments are weak. Just because the position doesnt require a higher form of education has nothing to do with this "bully" status you claim.

the whole situation was "weak". And to be honest I'm not going to get into details, I'll be glad to share after anything comes of my situation but for now, it's not in my interest to share
