Whats a good mixing prog?
Hey I am about to record my first set, just wondering whats a good mixing program to use.
Your question doesn't make sense.
A good mixing program would be something like Ableton or MixMeister.
A good program for recording sets from traditional decks and a mixer is Audacity.
And you probably should hold off on your fist recording if you havn't even gotten the program to mix it with yet.

If youre not routing the decks/outs to a mixer, then doesnt Traktor have a built in record function?

Guys, he's just asking for Traktor alternatives.
Try Torq from M-Audio, or Mixmeister, Virtual DJ, etc. There's a bunch out there. Try some demos and see what you like.
Torq doesn't have a demo, but you can get a stripped down version of it with an x-session pro controller for ~100 bucks.
