Gui Boratto, Martin Eyerer - The Island [Audiomatique]

Boratto played this in an impromptu afters ableton set, and I was hooked. Gorgeous tune, so warm and inviting. Gonna be huge at WMC I suspect, and get heavy play from a lot of folks, myself included.

The B side is quite nice as well!

Samples at bport.

Ya.

@ Freak, I've already been hearing it.

Posted by elFreak on Mar-06-2008 20:41:

Thats why i said it, i've heard it almost every time ive gone out in the last month and a half.

Like i said i like it, but by the time it got the release i was like ok no more please.

I like

Just like Eyerer & Oliver Klein - Babylon

Solid release. Crated both.

And screw you guys who are tired of it already. That's what you get for having more active scenes than the underprivileged or getting promos .

i'm enjoying the fuck out of this one. the beach not so much.

Posted by RJT on Mar-07-2008 03:27:

Like them both quite a bit - might prefer the Beach, but both sound good from the samples.

Crated them both, will pick them up and probably play them for a bit until I'm as sick of them as everyone else seems destined to become.

These are spicy.

Posted by elFreak on Mar-07-2008 04:09:

lol i said i liked them, its just annoying when the opener plays it, then the headliner, then the closer.

It is a testament to its quality, but still.

You gotta hear The Island in full.

Posted by RJT on Mar-07-2008 05:00:

I'll buy it eventually

The island is okay, I was given the track a while ago and got bored with it really quick. I don't know how to explain this, but the track has this weird affect on me. I'll play it, and it sounds like I've being playing it for almost forever, and I think the track is about to end, but then I look and find I'm only 2 minutes in. I think that same melody that first comes up at the minute mark goes on and on forever (usually I like to loop it and layer it with other tracks) and doesn't really progress from there.

On the fence about this one.

Another reason why I think that if you're booked, you really should be there for the whole night (or, at least be there from the beginning until you're done spinning). That, however, is an entirely different rant for an entirely different thread.

The Island really isn't that great, but I do quite like The Beach. Don't know if it would fit with what I've been spinning over the past few weeks, but I've picked it up already as I imagine there will be a point at which it'll get some use.

Really like the sound of 'The Island'

I'm biased because the first time I heard The Island I was "In a state" so to speak

The island is cool, picked it up a while ago.

Posted by RJT on Mar-07-2008 22:25:

I definitely prefer the Beach. The Island is nice and all, but just like the way the Beach chugs along better.

I think they are going to be like Milton at the end of Office Space. "No salt..."

Again, this track just like Pjanno or whatever it's called, a decent track (both of them), but still rather bland. The tracks just don't go anywhere.

I find them both super boring, a pathetic result from a collab that had sooooooooooooooooooo much potential.
