misnaming it with every big dj you can think of and sharing it on your favorite p2p is probably the best way.

Yeah, but in reality that won't do him much good.

Filefront is defenitly the best out of those.

God knows why so many people use megaupload or sendspace.

I used to hate megaupload, but now I actually prefer it along with rapidshare. It's pretty fast unlike so many of the other smaller servers. Sendspace is another story though. That piece of shit never works.

Please forgive me if I ask a lame question, but are these websites used by up and coming DJ's to share their mixes with other people so they can download their mix and or get exposure? Also, can someone host a mix from their website if they have one, is this an alternative for DJs who do not have a website?
Cheers

Yes, these free sites are commonly used by DJs everywhere to share their mixes with people since they are free. Hosting can be pretty expensive.

I usually use sendspace to upload my mixes since you can upload up to 300mb's and the upload and download speed is not bad. Also they do not require a 45 second wait period before you can begin downloading.

I dont use rapidshare or megaupload to upload my mixes because of the 45 second wait period both require before you can download anything .although i find them the most reliable in download speeds. In this day and age people want it fast and as fast as possible so i dont want anything standing between my mix and someone who wants to listen to it.

there are a lot of other generic upload services including filefactory,*******,and upload.to but those mostly have an upload limit of 100mb's so they make uploading even an hour and twenty minute mix impossible.

The one i have not tried on this list is filefront.Im going to try it now and ill post my opinions on it.

Hope this helps!

That usually depends on where you are. For example, here in Guatemala you have the 45 second wait and on top of it, limited slots which is a bitch.

If you want your mix to be available to as much people as possible, as fast as possible then your best bet would be massmirror. You can upload to rapidshare, megaupload, badongo, filefactory, etc. That way, users can select the service that works best for them.
