Next trance track to hit commercial(overhype) status?

In the wake of the Darude-Sandstorm frenzy in the mainstream and looking at how long it took Sandstorm to hit big from release date to the present, I have 2 questions to throw out there:

1. Which trance track(s) do you think is going to be the next big thing to gain strong mainstream appeal?
2. Which track(s) do you think has a sound that should get mainstream attention, but probably won't?

Myself, I think Safri Duo-Played Alive will be big in the next 3 months in the rest of the music world and I think Coldplay-Trouble(Lost Witness remix) has the right sound to do it, but probably won't.

Probably the new 'the moon'
and safri duo is very popular on the radiostations back here,but that radiocut lost all the energy of that song!(like all radiocuts do!)grrrr.....

I was kind of thinking Ratty-Sunrise might just make it big commercially.. You know a song has a good shot at it if it has a music video, so Ratty is already half-way there...

the moon will definitey be commercialized in my book. it's sweeping across the nation. it's a decent track though.

the only reason why i didn't say safri duo though is cause it's already commercialized. :P

Ratty "Sunrise" - An absolutely dreadful track that has been so overhyped. It's already been overplayed, the production quality is awful and the vocals are so, so cheesy. Due to the hype over it Ratty have knocked out a really, really, completely awful mix of Marc Et Claude "Lovin You" with the same already tired sound. Unfortunately I think all the kids will go out and buy this awful record (Ratty "Sunrise"), but I hate it!

Infernal are from my country, Denmark. Overhere, they are very commercial.

Dj Jan - Blaxo !
Now why is this track not the biggest on the scene yet?

Sunrise: Yes well.

Hmmm. When it gets played 2-3 times a night and you're out clubbing 3 times a week, then it get's a bit tedious. But it's such a great track, true.

and umm.. Safri Duo - Played Alive has been too hehe..
UK is good at commercialisation of songs

Too much hype indeed! And it's not so bloody whammin' in my oppinion. Kinda weak, cheesy synthlines, and where's the bass?

ya i'd say safri duo too...i heard the local pop station play it on their top 40 the other night!
they play all the spears/aguilera/moore/etc. pop stuff and about zilch dance music, let alone trance stuff.
damn i envy u people who get radio with trance music! arrgghh, i need a satellite dish on my car haha

Hmmm... I dunno a lot of trance nowadays doesn't sound like the kind of trance that the mainstream will enjoy... I gotta agree with u peepz on Safri Duo, it's a great track tho (played alive ofcourse)... Rui Da Silva's Touch Me (more prog house) is kinda commercial now too... I have no idea!! Everyone's making a big deal about the new Futureshock track The Question... I dunno there's like a general mainstream and an electronic music mainstream, but I dun wanna get into that, it's not worth philosiphizing over stuff like that... I just wanna hear good tunez!!!

will be commercialized. They have that certain sound that appeals to the mainstream. I hope that happens because I too am tired of hearing sandstorm all the time.

/runs from infinity before I gets slapped.

Besides I love those tracks, and would love to hear them in my favorite clubs.

I think this track will become realy commercial:

DJ Mental Theo vs. Central Seven - Air (Air Hardbeat Remix)

Like the track, but here in Holland, Theo is a cheap ass who makes crappy Alice Deejay type of tracks (and hardcore,..)
Funny that this tracks sounds awesome,...propably because of Central Seven. Remembers missing from them? HOHO, that's what i'm talking about!!

thats prolly why im playing it almost twice weekly on my school radio shifts. well that and the track is so damn nice!!!

(very popular trance/dance tracks from europe take around 3-5 months to get commercialized over into the north america i notice... sandstorm took 3 months or something!)

whoever said they dont like "Ratty- Sunrise".. oh shit.. i agree with you I dont like that track! very dirty sound to it

What about Bartezz - On The Move, I think that song will be the next Sandstorm... It will be very commercial, it will even reach a high position in the charts (now it is even #1 in Dance Trends top 30 in The Netherlands)....
