My phone didn't adjust automatically like it should and I was an hour late to work today. Nice.

I agree - although it was only a 9 hour for me.

It is like a free hour of pay!

That blows. I guess I have a 1/4 chance of getting it in Nov (days/nights/swing/off).... don't know my sched. past July

we're on a three month rotation. so april-june = days, july-sep = swings, and oct-dec = nights.

6 months of nights in a year. sucks.

Is it just me or did NO ONE SAY A FUCKING THING about daylight savings time until 3 minutes before it was going to happen? All I heard was "oh by the way in 3 minutes you're going to lose an hour." WHY? So farmers can get up early and grow crops or something? This wasn't supposed to happen until April right? I hate the sun so much I don't want another hour of sunshine. I hate LA. I am so hungover right now. =(

actually, pushing the time an hour later means that farmers can work later than normal, instead of getting up an hour earlier.

or whatever. fucking iowa

Ug. Changing the time for farmers is like changing the time for herders. Who does this anymore and why on my time? Why don't the farmers just wake up an hour later? Why aren't monkeys farmers? I'm sure they don't care what time it is. Why do I have to wake up an hour later? I need shower I smell soooooo bad.

Posted by iammesol on Mar-09-2008 17:04:

I actually like the sun being out more. It wakes me up for school, and I don't have to worry about as many gun-toting peoples outside my apartment for another hour.

nonono, like, if we were on normal time, the sun would rise right now at say, 0600...but during peak summer it would rise at around 0330 .... so by pushing the sun an hour later, the fucking farmers don't have to get up until 430 instead of 330.

or something around that notion. either way, i still agree with the last two statements you said.

Well I am an 'alaskan' now and I haven't noticed any issues with it - or people complaining about it.

The funny thing... sunrise was at 736a yesterday and today it is at 833 or something. In 3 weeks it will be 736a again. Ahhh the joys of gaining almost 6 minutes of daylight a day.
