, as i said in another thread, im gonna have a Vestax DJM 500(lol, efx has the same fx that djm does...)
hmm..
i'm not going to bother with effects, the songs are good enough as is.
why didn't you just buy a djm500 if you wanted effects?
Cuz i like vestax, and it will be cheaper to get efx and pcv 275 separately than buying a djm 500...
hmm...
touche
what kind of carts did you get?
Blue ortofons

sux, sry to hear that
Hey, DJ Tranceformer, you stole my gear!
Just kidding. Nice setup! I've got the exact same everything. (The blue Ortofon's kick ass, don't they!)
So how much is the Pioneer EFX-500, and where r u buying from?
Also, how tall is the table holding your equipment? I'm worried that the table I'm using is too short. It's causing me fatigue after an hour or so of mixing.
wow cool... sweet setup... I got a question!
You had a stanton RM3S before if I remember - which I have now... I like it, but it's also the only mixer i've really used more than a day or two here and there ...
The PCV275 is very similiar in features... but my question: how does the PCV275 compare to the RM3S (as far as the faders, eq, quality, etc) ???
I'd like to hear what you think of the PCV275 vs the RM3S
TIA,
-mer
They all come back to the good ol' PCV-275
Anyway, nice gear, get something to cover your mixer when you are not using it, it gets dust real fast.
EDIT:
I Wouldnt put the volium faders so high if I were you...
Unless you are using flat EQ, try to avoid passing the +3 DB meter.

It's a pair of Denon DP DJ-101s and a Kam KMX-300 mixer.

i figured the PCV275 was quite a beter box... the RM3S isn't that bad for a beginner, but it does sound like the PCV275 is worth the investment
On the I notice about the stanton EQ's, is on the negative side (which as we know, is what matters) they don't have much effect until they get to the 9 o'clock position... maybe -6db or so.. then a VERY abrupt cut! in a way, this is good, once you get used to it, but it makes a very obvious sound and its not smooth like you'd want for a good mix.
ah well. for the $200 I paid, it pretty cool. if I paid what the vestax costs for the stanton, i'd be somewhat irate though ... hehe
the lack of a cue meter IS annoying!!
