Couple Of Questions...help!

I have some questions spinning in my mind, and I had no idea about them...

1- Are softwares which detect keys are reliable?! I\'m asking this question because I see some tunes with different keys (eg 1B to 3A or 3A to 7A) \"Some times\" mix well togethere and sounds pretty cool and in other hand I see tunes with the same key even with same BPM sounds awful! any answere for this one? anything else I need to know rather than keys to find out tunes which match togethere well?

2- I have my DJM600 effects alone!!! to be honest I don\'t know when and where is the the time to use them. I just sometimes use filter effect for out going tune... any tips and trick? thanks

3- and for the last question, is there any tips and advices to mix musics with different keys better?

Edit: oh!... and what percentage of pitch will change the key? (like eg 5% change of pitch makes 1A to 2,3,4,...A or B?!)

Thanks for answering my questions and sorry to ask all of them at once!

1. no they are not.
2. whatever you do, do not overuse the effects. if using the effect somehow enhances the overall sound, then use it, if not, don't. can't give any more precise tips as i'm pretty much against using effects. i just don't think they're really needed.
3. about + 6% changes the key +7/-5 on the camelot scale. -6% changes it -7/+5. i think it's about 5,946309436... % to be exact (unless i totally fucked up my calculations)
next change should be at 12,25% then at 18,92% then at 25,99%

Get rapid evo(free)... pretty damn reliable... and a easily acessable midi keyboard onscreen to double check.
