Seriously that guy needs to learn some (rather obvious) music theory.
You can't just slow down or speed up melodies or its really crap (above is an example). Also... certain sounds only work well at high/low bpms... e.g. that big boomy kick... which again is a perfect example of crapness. What a joke.

It's happened loads recently. There was that hip hop tune which used Zombie Nation with a half speed beat, same with Sunglasses At Night (admittedly not really a "dance" tune, but an 80s electro classic... same sorta idea)
