Bursting with pride

Loosing My Dad 3 years ago was probably the worst thing that ever happened to me , not a day goes by that I don't miss him, so having my Son to cherish makes me strong whenever i feel down.

Today i took him snowboarding for the first time and decided to make a little video

Hope you like it

they do

the first tune is Skiing in the snow , by Wigans ovation
I started my clubbing career back in 1974 when I was still at school and My dad was working at the club, this tune was huge when i started out as a DJ (northern soul scene) and it was about skiing so it fit
The second tune is one of Brandon favourites, something from one of his video games

WONDERFUL! He picks it up so effortlessly! Very impressed...

As for the Northern Soul Track, I did a spin and touched the ground backwards

HAHA you are probably one of the only people on here that would get that one
I have thousands of Northern soul tracks still on vinyl here and even more on my computer
wish I could get a chance to spin them all again and educate people about one of the sources of dance music.

if anyone has read the book

"last night a dj saved my life"

and wants to know what northern soul is ,hit me up and i will put together a cd for you of the best.

I wouldn't say no to a cd... even though I know what it is and my dad used to go to the Torch in Longton, Stoke to 'rave' lol

Out of all the chapters in that book - all of which were extremely interesting - I found the Northern Soul read the most interesting. Mainly because it predates so many other forms of "DJ music" and the scene itself mimicked (EDIT ok Mimic is the wrong word but I'm too lazy to correct the grammar) many of our contemporary "rave" scenes.

If you ever put together a complilation and posted it up I would most definetly check it out.
