has anyone seen Yahel before? any review would help!
I have played with him the last 2 times he has been out to LA. Both were pretty good, he is a good DJ, but just doesnt play the style that i am into.

yeah he plays psytrance, more trance than psy tho, and really realy soft lol wouldn't recommend to any hardcore psy lover. However you may end up liking his party since it attracts a more upscale with pick-up attitude crowd, you just never know lol

everytime i have played with him there have been hot ladies EVERYWHERE
but he still plays cheesy psy if you can imagine
He used to be amazing back in the day. For the last two albums he has done a lot of vocal tracks and so the style has changed. I havnt seen him in the last 4 years but 5 years ago or so he was great. If he does a vocal, downtempo psytrance act though that is kinda lame. But im sure a skazi and yahel show, both being live, would be an amazing one of a kind rare event and I woudnt miss it - except i have to cause I am out of mileage to fly - using it for WMC. My favorite out of the psy guys that have been brought to LA (yahel,skazi,astrix,astral,j00f,cl,IM) I would say Astral Projection is the group I would love to see over and over - and cant wait for the new cd. But any psytrance works for me!

Stay away if you don't like cheesy isra-trance. Check him out if you want to party with hot Israeli girls.

| Originally posted by element-y The show got cancelled? That is a shame. HAHA I am israeli and yea that was a massive bill, primiarily because besides LA, no one brings that much psy or israeli psy-ish music to the states. Skazi and "new" yahel arnt my favorite, but they make for one amazing show together. When yahel isnt with Tammy - the singer - is his set different and old school yahel, or does he simply do the same tracks just without her there live to sing them? If he avoids the vocal tracks, i really enjoy his music. |
Haha I wish. Its sad to see the decline of psytrance. Yes, IM, CL, and Astrix, etc. are hitting harder on the djmag polls, but in reality that doesnt work as to the shows for massives. I mean what happened to all the spytrance festivals - yes they are still there, but the amount that attend drop drastically every year. Its a shame. Full Moon Festival, etc. , all given 10 years or so will be dried up. The clubs are working for them, but the actuall all psytrance events arent. I mean you can have one psytrance with a varied lineup yes, but having more than one is rare now a days all around the world compared to what it was.
LA - bringing back the psytrance movement!!!

I'll give it a listen later this weekend, too busy at work to fully give it a listen at the moment
