King 320k- avila & thorne - myriad (terrafusion remix) [trance/140bpm/pvd-askew-ish style]

it would appear trance labels these days only want stuff with memorable melodies.. this is more a filler designed for the early stages of a late set, a niche which is rarely filled it seems

http://isoterra.co.uk/stuff/avila_&...usion_remix.mp3

full, freeware, do what you like with it comments appreciated

cool, you got any sets i can check out?

cool track mate, loving that delayed beat intro bout 1min.50

the beat overall sounds spot on as well, and there just enough in teh pecussion to keep thing flowing nicely.

just at 2.30 the tune chnages suddenly and i think that the mel melody that kicks in could do with being automated with the volume so that it suddenly starts to become louder, and not just hit you straight away, or may be filter it in???

cool breakbeat addidtion as well 5min.30, i love adding that stuff in, seems to just make teh track sound so much more alive and gives it that edge imo.

overall mint track keep it up : )

nice track

Very tight track dude, huge club sound to it and nothing technical really needs improving. I would actually count it better than an askew track since I find this has a little more interest and movement, especially in the basslines.

You've come a long way since the old days at mpfreescene!

cool! this is really nice i'd buy it, but now i don't have to hehe
i really like the double beat kinda thing in the drum roll/build up, seems pretty original to me and nice style of melody

yeah i can see where you're coming from.. it was meant to be a dramatic change but on hindsight i'd have probably let it break for 2-4 bars and give it 1 bar to filter in before the beat comes back, as it sounds a bit random atm. i've done something similar in my latest tune detailed feedback/suggestions are always appreciated!

thanks also sean5 & philby

long time indeed! I remember that remix, and I still have the very earliest version of Terrafusion-Beyond somewhere as well!

I took a long hiatus from tranceaddict but I've started getting more serious about my producing as of early last year so I'm back on and immersing myself in the other upcoming material here. Let's keep in touch - congrats on the release of Senoi, its a top track - good to see some mpfreesceners starting to get recognition! Frase is doing well for himself too

aye i've been slacking a bit with this subforum of late (i know, for shame!).. PM me if you ever post something & i miss it!

thanks re: senoi there was another release last year on MPFS's own label, called 'ultima' if you haven't heard that yet.. that one managed to briefly get playlisted by j00f which for me was the biggest achievement yet. still a while away from reaching frase's lofty heights tho hehe, although getting a remix recently released on discover was a bit of a start

ultramarine HATES me, you have no idea of the amount of times i've tried to remake it but it flat out refuses to sound good maybe one day

kohaku just isn't really my style of trance anymore. i've tried doing things with it but i can't feel the love or passion when working on it

Very good track - fast paced, with hard kick, but not repetetive. Great stuff!

RJ Thorne ?

Old MPFS get together this thread haha

I like this track a lot mate, i think you insult yourself by using askew ins the same sentance as it.

I'm putting together a mix of amateur productions and i will be using this for sure.

Oh yeah took a listen to Ultima pretty much as soon as it came out, I recall liking the original mix best seems like j00f sort of style.

The discover release, that musta been the remix on Tom Colontonio yeah? That was real nice work and some big recognition there. I'd be stoked to be where you and Frase are at in a couple of years' time. were you also responsible for the Beyond Amsterdam mashup? Those tunes worked really nicely together!

Posted by isoterra on Mar-26-2008 18:58:

yeah that was me

i'm having trouble coming up with an original theme that askew likes at the moment so not sure if i'll get another release with them anytime soon (he turned down this one)
