(Full 320k_2008_ Remaster) G+D - Tracking Treasure Down (Tough Trance Rmx) 134/139bpm

yo guys.

i posted up my Gabriel and Dresden rmx about 6 months ago. it was just a few hours of fun trying to make use of some harder sounds i had made. i used some vanguard presets and a massive kick that i made.

I decided to tweek some levels and rework the mastering, and now the track is a lot more balanced and powerful.

i have rendered 2 versions, a 134bpm 'trance speed' and a 139bpm 'harder speed'. just so those who play faster dont have to ruin the pitch with a 8% pitchup.

134bpm version:- [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

139bpm version:-
soon!

Im hoping this new remastered rmx finds a use in some sets. one guy played it in a set in plymouth, uk (hard trance capital of the uk, imo). he said the kick took the paint off the walls

enjoy!

Heya Rich,
Never been a fan of G&D but this is a top quality remix dude.

Snarly bass is just how I like it.

Probably the one thing that does get the track down a little bit is the sound of the Vanguard presets, good though they are, perhaps I have just heard them too much. To familiar if you see what I mean. I can see why you wanted to use a supersaw style sound but might have opted for another sound that's a little less German Euro Disco.

Can't fault the rest of it though and I like the pounding kick drum, good job on that.

Might have liked to see some pads in there too, bit of sidechain on them but those are just personal prefences.

Overall good track sir.

Cheers
Karl

Hey,

I liked this a lot, however a few things:

- I think the main melody synth is bit too common (was that what nem was talking about? Vangard?). Also, it is a bit "reedy" in a few points; I think it could possibly do with being fleshed out with a slightly longer decay or something, and perhaps even drop the notes an octave or half octave to give them a meatier feel; they are a little bit high for my tastes.

- Percussion is good, but could use some more mid-range I think. There's plenty of sub-bass and nice highs, but I felt the mids a bit lacking.

- Track seems to "wander" a bit towards the end; kind of felt like you needed a break, another element...I don't know.

- Love the kick drums, well done on those.

All in all a good listen; I'd probably play this out, but the Magnus Psy Remix is still the winner for me!

im gonna check magnus's psy rmx soon i think

i know what you mean about the vanguard synth. tho i have to say i love that preset for the memories it brings. reminds me of many happy nights out at hard trance events.

thanks guys
