so does anybody have any connections or any help that would bring me in the right direction towards getting a gig. The Toronto trance scene isn`t as massive as other places around the world...but its there. So if anybody is playing at any clubs that might be able to hook me up or lead me in the right direction...that would be a lot of help. Also any tips for how you got your gig (specifically in Toronto) would be great.

go to the Toronto section of the forum and ask.... lots of local djs on there...

the best way to get yourself known is to actually go out and frequent the places you want to play

make yourself known, you don't just ask for a spot, it's all about favors in this industry

give out cds to the clubbers, they're the ones that are going to want you to play and will ultimately get you booked

i can count on one hand the amount of cds i've gotten as a promoter that have led to actual bookings, i rely on what other djs say and what the people want
