i think the catch for this is.....

at the end of the 08 year you will have to include this as
income so pretty much pay taxes on it

but it does help i guess....

My understanding is it is not taxable.

there's really no reason for anyone to be excited about this... you're not getting 600 free dollars, you're borrowing $600 from the fed, which will be paid back over several decades with interest in the form of federal income tax. yay! oh and the cumulative effect of this handout will do fuckall for the economy

yup knew there was some kind of catch....

If I was getting some "borrowed" money, I'd be returning it to sender!

Anyway, I think I still need to do my 06 & 07 taxes!

Posted by skell on Mar-18-2008 22:19:

Yeah it's so lame. I'm not spending mine on the economy. I'm throwing it in an investment account. America loses.

I should just be like Ron Paul and send it back because I don't really need it. Ugh.

A study was done where only 30% of this money will even be spent on our economy within the first 6-9 months I believe. gg.

I plan on spending it on drugs from Columbia. Suck it America.

ahhh, just the solution china was hoping for

put the country $600 more in debt, and take yourself $600 out of debt and pay of a C/C bill.
