Amores Perros

Anyone else seen this?

Writing 4000 words on it and watching it 6 times in a week has slightly drained my enthusiasm, but it is nonetheless a very good movie.

It's like a good/Mexican version of Crash.

Views, comments?

Which Crash? The good one or the bad one?

Posted by PoisonJam19 on Mar-27-2008 04:20:

I like 21 Grams and Babel, but have never seen Amores Perros.

same deal for me. i did write a paper onnit in uni, but i doubt i still have it. from what i remember it had to do with the representation of the dogs. the owners motives and feelings were more represented in the dog's actions...or something.

its been like 5 years|

Posted by ZeJayMan on Mar-27-2008 07:25:

That's almost exactly what i'm writing about haha, got any good stuff lying around from then?

Posted by biznology on Mar-27-2008 08:04:

well apparently my paper related AP to italian neo realism...whod a thunk it?

im not even sure i know why...but it sounds pretty important..

mostly how it relates to Tarantino, but also how the US/Mexico relationship is also represented there. some grammatical errors that bug me, but pretty good overall|

yeah but it's just so different.

I like weird indy movies. Especially that hot actor! I wonder if he's done any more movies since those 2.

After getting into a serious car accident, a TV director discovers an underground sub-culture of scarred, omnisexual car-crash victims who use car accidents and the raw sexual energy they produce to try to rejuvenate his sex life with his wife. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115964/

gael garcia bernal, you mean? he's awesome. he's been in 'babel', 'dot the i' (really cool little indie film that i totally forgot about till just now), and 'the motorcycle diaries'.

haven't seen 'amores perros' yet, but i've wanted to for a while. 'y tu mama tambien' is my #3 favorite film ever, and i liked 'crash' too. so i'll definitely get around to seeing this one.

Movies I've seen him in: La mala Educacion, Crimen Del Padre Amaro, Y tu Mama Tambien, Amores Perros, Science of Sleep, Babel, Diarios de Motocicleta.

Worst of these was Babel. His best performance might have been in La Mala Educacion or Science of Sleep.

Diaries is the Che movie, correct?

Posted by nefardec on Mar-28-2008 17:07:

yes

la mala educacion was really good too - forgot about that

Heh, funny coincidence... I just downloaded it last night (randomly... don't know anything about it) so that I will have something to watch during my flight to Tokyo... which leaves in 20 min
