well with a lot of other forms of art people have embraced the "media is the message" concept

but with djing i dont know... if one was to go about that sort of thinking, ALL the media would have to be considered, sound system, mixer, cds/mp3s/vinyls, loghting, venue etc...

It would be impossible to get big with pirated mp3s. An artist would catch you first and put his foot in your ass. Mp3s aren't lossless anyways...

You can mix mp3s with MYXOFT DSS DJ. It's a solid program IMO and it works very well.
