-- I'm soaked
I'm soaked
I had to take my car to the repair shop today and, when I was on my way to work, it rained... and I mean it. Despite the fact that the dry season was supposed to have started last week, it was the kind of storm that would drive Tubularbills _nuts_
But, bad puns aside, it was gold. I really love the rain and I feel so much better now... plus, the next rain will probably be around September, so I'd better enjoy these showers while I can.
Anyway, do you like the rain?Does it rain a lot where you live? Does that kind of thing make you feel more "alive"?
golden shower?

the weather around here hates me
its a curse, like seriously.
during the summer, i work as a lifeguard. therefore, if it rains/thunders etc we close the pool but stay there in case it clears up, so rain/thunder = get paid the same amount to do whatever the fuck i want, play board games and cards and shit or read or whatever. so during the summer, rain and thunder are amazing
aaaaaand, during the rest of the year I work delivery, so rain is a MAJOR pain in the ass. less so now that my car doesn't die when it rains, but still. tips are sometimes better, and it's guaranteed that me feet will be soaked through, not to mention that my eyes aren't great so driving in the rain at night's a pain
now, with that in mind. two summers ago, and the summer before that, i went the entire summer without it raining a single day while i was at work. and for one of the summers it rained or thundered all but ONE of my days off all summer and didn't thunder a single say i was at work
and i only work fridays during the school year since i got classes, and it rained or snowed...i think 9 fridays in a row. it wasn't particularly rainy the rest of the time, just EVERY fucking friday, shitty weather.
cor version: me and the weather ain't so tight
Driving in the rain +1
Sitting in the car listening to the rain hit the car +1
Breathing the cool air during rain +1
it's all good

I love, love, love rain. I really don't think I could've picked a better place to live for it, either. Sure, constant rain is a common misconception, but it still rains more frequently than other places. Huge downpours are sweet, and (as weird as it'll sound) I love the smell when it starts to rain on hot, dry pavement.

Yeah, when the weather is perfect during the summer, people don't stop talking about it. And what the hell, it snowed!? Christ on a bike.
Yeah dude. I was chillin', talking on the phone with a friend on tour in New York, then I looked outside and thought "crap, the rain is falling hella slow." Sure enough, it was snowing. Didn't stick, but it was slushy enough.
I actually haven't spent a full summer up here yet, so I'm looking forward to it this year. I hear the tourists get annoying though.
pics or it didn't happen
also, mezzir, the last summer here in shreveport i swear it must have thunderstormed almost every single day in may/june. but the storms were so completely isolated it would be one either the shreveport side or the bossier side of the red river...never both. but combined, between the two cities, everyday during may/june, it thunderstormed...and HARD.
Lira, i'm not technically "in the tropics" but fucking close enough. i've been in new orleans for those "tropical" thunderstorms. and holy shit they're amazing. its just amazing how much water comes out of the sky.
last summer my nieghborhood flooded...and i don't even live on a flood plain

Oh I'm down with snow, when it's real snow and it covers the ground and everything is super quiet. That's AWESOME. I just don't like the rain, then an hour of snow, them more rain thing. Bums me out.
