My latest Uplifting choon

Hey!

I'm retouching one of my trance tracks.. I would really like some feedback.. I'm not sure if I'll put it together in a whole track.. in one moment it sounds fantastic and in the next moment it sounds weird. I need ya help!

The file is only 778kb so even the 56k users should be able to get this one.

thats a really nice track man, love the dreamy piano

my only suggestion is i think the kick is too soft, if you were to give it that sort of loud crisp kick such as one dj tiesto uses, it would sound a lot better

other than that, great work!, keep it up

hey mate, great tune, i love the dreamy piano & the build up to the main lead.
maybe the kick is just a little too soft like dave said, and personally i'd like the hihats to be a little different. but that's my taste

Well the same happened to me .....that's because i usually work too much on my project that when i listen my track i always found bugs etc....But most of the time it's true ! For you the thing it's different.....these track it's very very cool.Great job....i will realy like to listen a finished version of it

Thanks guys, this is overwhelming.

I've worked a lot on this song this weekend and it's almost finished.. I might be able to upload it tonight. I've been sick the last 2 weeks so I've had plenty of time.

About the kick.. that might be true.. I have somehow suspected it myself.. I'm gonna try to do something with it..

I was afraid that the contrasts in the song would almost make it two different songs, it's like mr. poopyhead said: It's chillout and uplifting at the same time.

Yeah, overworking a track can kill your inspiration.. I've done it too many times

The track is called Explorers but this version is called Explorers (uplifting retouch). The original song was really chill.. I was just gonna do some minor changes but then I just started to play around with it and experiment and wh00ps!.. this is the result

The track was done with both software and hardware. I use emagic Logic Audio for sequencing and sampling. Oh my god, the sampler in Logic is awsome

T-racks for mastering, sound forge for editing...

The synths used are Novation Nova (my workhorse ), Waldorf Microwave XT and Novation Drumstation
