I did not know any of this at all or anything about G&D. Seems like they fucked up a lot in the past and this was well predicted...
From reading that thread it sounds like Dave is having a lot of life troubles and I really hope that something turns out better. I've seen people there and it is not fun at all or anything to be laughing or joking about.
I don't know the circumstances of the breakup or anything about this so I can't really comment but I'll just say this that it sucks but it was probably for the better anyway, as general as I can make it.
