How do we know the jeering was edited out as opposed to edited in?

(I'm not accusing, I'm genuinely asking... is there a solid source that cites this? Obviously, not CNN.)

I was there. They booed, and it was loud. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest. You don't boo a President, no matter how unpopular he is in my opinion.

But seriously, if I was a Nationals fan I wouldn't boo unless Dubya specifically did something detrimental to the franchise.

I just find it wrong. He's gone in what?...8 months? To some that's 8 months too long, yes, but that's pretty low to boo him.

I agree - I find it wrong as well. It was very uncomfortable being in the park for it. There were some nervous giggles and stuff, but I got the feeling that a lot of people thought it was disrespectful.

The way I look at it is, if he was refusing to believe the polls about how many people like him, this should've hit him in the face. You can't sit there and say, "Hah, I don't care about polls, I doubt they're right anyways," and then have a whole stadium boo you and continue to believe the same thing.

I've seen worse cases of booing/fan behavior, so I still give this a meh.

What does it mean to "respect the office?"

The idea of "respecting" an office regardless of the quality of the person who holds it is ridiculous. It's like saying a kid should "respect" his abusive, crackhead deadbeat dad. Fuck that.

"Authority figures" get respect from me only if they deserve it.

Not taking a pro or anti stance against CNN but for X reasons they could have done it ....
